Silarex is the ultimate solution for analysis of challenging multicomponent gas mixtures due to cross sensitivity or a single component that could be present over a wide detection range. For example CEMs measurement of CO2, NO and SO2 or TOC analysis. All processing of the raw data is carried out within the single sensor and measurement values are output via Modbus ASCII/ RTU. Please enquire if you have a gas mixture differing from those listed below as Silarex is customisable.
Measuring principle:
An NDIR sensor is comprised of a NDIR light source, a sample chamber also known as a light tube, optical filters which allow the transmission of narrow frequency bands of infrared energy and a detector.
IR light is directed through the light tube containing the analyte gas towards the detector. Energy is absorbed dependent on the type and concentration of gas species present. A reference optical filter/s will transmit energy independent of gases present but measurement filters, selected to correspond to absorption regions for the specific gases will transmit a lower intensity of energy due to absorption by the gas molecules. The greater the concentration of the gas species the greater the absorption and the lower the transmission of energy. Absorption regions are frequently not unique to one gas species and is one reason why cross sensitivity occurs.
Features:
- Up to three simultaneous measurements – Multichannel
- Auto correction for cross sensitivity
- On board pressure compensation
- Wide concentration ranges
- Optimal measurement accuracy and precision
- Minimal installation effort
- Pre-calibrated ready for use
- Low maintenance and on-going calibration requirement
Benefits:
- Ease and simplicity of installation, operation and maintenance due to the employment of a single vs. multiple sensors
- Optimal performance because compensation due to cross interference is applied to the same sample of analyte and within the same measurement device.
- Versatility from one sensor being able to handle the work of three and seamlessly output high accuracy measurements.
- Simple set-up – minimal hardware requirement
- Low cost of ownership
Product details:
The Three or Two channel Silarex requires a 24V DC power supply, gas pump and mounting equipment in addition to gas pre-treatment accessories such as a gas cooler, particle filter and condenser. Design in support is available for mechanical installation, data communication and gas pre-treatment.
The sensor module requires a gas flow rate of 0.1 – 1.0 l/min and pressure range 800 – 1150 hPa, ambient humidity 0-95% (non condensing) and operating temperature range of 10 – 40 °C
Standard data communication is Modbus ASCII/ RTU via RS485, autobaud, autoframe. Free calibration s/w is available.
