The Aranet WET150 Sensor Stand is a purpose-built installation bracket designed to ensure consistent and accurate placement of the Aranet Soil Sensor (WET150) in growing substrates. It eliminates the variability that can occur when sensors are inserted freehand, providing a standardised approach to sensor positioning across an entire growing operation.
Why It Matters
Inconsistent sensor placement is one of the most common causes of unreliable volumetric water content (VWC) data. If the WET150 probe is inserted at different angles, depths, or positions from plant to plant, readings can vary even when soil conditions are the same, making it difficult to compare data across the crop or identify genuine differences in substrate moisture. Standardising placement removes this variable, giving growers data they can trust and act on with confidence.
The sensor stand offers four adjustable height positions, allowing the sensor to be set at the optimal level for the specific crop and substrate being monitored. It is designed for use with grow bags and other soil-less media, and works as part of the broader Aranet WET150 monitoring setup alongside the Aranet PRO base station and Aranet Cloud platform. Sensor mounts are compatible with Aranet Tray Weight Sensors ordered after 01 May 2025.
