In greenhouse environments with dense or tall canopies, the Aranet transmitter’s standard 40 cm cable may position the unit too low for consistent wireless transmission to the base station. Signal obstructions caused by foliage and infrastructure can result in data gaps or unreliable readings, undermining the value of the monitoring system. Being able to raise the transmitter above the crop level ensures that data is transmitted reliably, keeping the monitoring network intact regardless of crop density.
The extension cable connects between the WET150 sensor and its wireless transmitter, enabling the transmitter to be hung at a height that clears the surrounding vegetation while the probe remains positioned at root zone level.
