Global Solar Radiation Monitoring for Outdoor and Greenhouse Environments
The Aranet Apogee Pyranometer SP-110 measures global solar radiation across a spectral range of 360 to 1120 nm, supporting outdoor and greenhouse monitoring where sunlight intensity plays a key role in plant response and overall energy balance.
Why It Matters
Solar radiation is a major driver of both plant growth and a facility’s energy demands, influencing everything from photosynthesis rates to heating and cooling loads. Without accurate, real-time solar radiation data, it’s difficult to understand how much energy is reaching a site, or to make informed decisions about supplemental lighting, shading, or climate control. Reliable measurement gives growers and facility managers the evidence needed to manage these factors proactively rather than reactively.
The kit includes the Aranet Apogee Transmitter, the Apogee Self-Powered Pyranometer (SP-110), and the Apogee Solar Mounting Bracket with Leveling Plate. As with other Aranet Pro series sensors, it integrates with the Aranet base station and Aranet Cloud for wireless data transmission and remote access.
The Aranet Apogee Pyranometer SP-110 delivers the solar radiation data needed to understand energy balance and support informed climate and lighting decisions outdoors or in the greenhouse.
