New Room Sensor Generation by E+E Elektronik

As a provider or installer of heating and or ventilation and air control systems, you will want sturdy, reliable, easy to install, accurate, “hands-off” room sensors with an output that is compatible with your Building Automation System (BAS).

E+E Elektronik has the winning formula; a trio of wall mountable room sensors; the CDS201 3-in-1 device for CO2, humidity, and temperature, the HTS201 humidity and temperature sensor and the TES201 temperature sensor. These new room sensors are designed for demand-driven ventilation, heating and air conditioning technology, and facility automation.

Excellent Measurement Performance, Innovative Design

Offering outstanding accuracy from E+E Elektronik’s many years of experience in producing high-quality sensing elements.
The functional snap-on enclosure enables the fitting of just the lower part of the enclosure containing just the plug-in terminals, this saves the electronics from possible exposure to contamination during the installation process. The top of the enclosure containing the electronics can be attached before commissioning, this can include an optional large easy-to-read graphic display.  The housing’s unique design also prevents the ingress of false air and significantly reduces self-heating.

Interfaces and Configuration

The measured values are either delivered via analogue outputs or to the digital interface using the Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP protocol.  Free PCS10 product configuration software and an optional configuration adapter are available for set up and configuration of the digital version using a PC

A sensor to suit all measurement requirements

The CDS201 combines CO2, temperature, and relative humidity measurements in a single device and is particularly well suited for demand-driven ventilation and facility automation in residential and commercial applications.

The CDS201’s CO2 measurement is dual wavelength NDIR. This technology has advantages over single beam NDIR, it eliminates the need for automatic baseline correction with its potential for error by continuously monitoring both the measurement and background signal to automatically compensate for aging effects, ensuring excellent long-term stability. Factory multi-point CO2 calibration with temperature adjustment ensures high measurement accuracy over the operational temperature range.

The patented E+E RH/T sensor coating protects the sensing element against contamination and corrosive deposits. This ensures optimum measurement performance, long-term stability, and longevity of the sensing element under adverse environmental conditions.

If the CDS 201 is a bit of an overkill for your requirements, the HTS 201 relative humidity (RH) and temperature (T) sensor incorporating the same high performance sensing element or the TES201 sensor, designed for accurate room temperature measurement (T) for indoor climate control are available with a great price/performance ratio.
