Multi Material Building Moisture and Climate Assessment in One System

The Schaller Humimeter GF2 Set for Builders Experts and Renovators extends the Schaller Humimeter GF2 with conductivity electrodes, climate measurement and non-contact temperature sensing. The package supports broad site investigation across screed, masonry, insulation, plaster, timber and other listed building materials, with sensors selected to suit the construction and required measuring method.

Why It Matters

Building surveys often involve several materials and moisture pathways. A quick surface scan may identify a pattern, while a hand electrode, plug-in pair or flat electrodes can provide targeted checks in harder materials, screed or insulation. Ambient humidity, dew point and surface temperature add context when investigating drying, condensation or the readiness of finishes.

The GF2 contact plate measures supported materials non-destructively to a depth of 30 mm. The manufacturer lists applications including gypsum, lime mortar, lime plaster, cellulose, fill, insulating materials, cork and various woods. External conductivity electronics connect the hand electrode, plug-in electrodes and flat electrodes, expanding the measurement options beyond the integral plate. Correct results depend on using the relevant characteristic curve and sensor arrangement for the material.

The base instrument has a stated range of 0 to 20% water content with 0.1% resolution, automatic temperature compensation and results within seconds. The humidity and temperature probe supports relative humidity, absolute humidity, dew point and wood equilibrium moisture assessment. The infrared sensor measures from minus 25 to plus 125 C without contact. A hold function, manual storage and automatic logging for up to 10,000 readings support structured site records.

The Schaller Humimeter GF2 Set for Builders Experts and Renovators provides adaptable moisture, climate and temperature measurements for varied building investigations and drying checks.
