Automated Continuous Methane Emissions Monitoring for Oil, Gas, and Industrial Operations

The NevadaNano MethaneTrack™ is a complete automated methane emissions monitoring system that delivers real-time detection, quantification, and localisation of methane leaks across upstream, midstream, and downstream industrial operations. The system consists of a gateway, an anemometer, and multiple wireless sensors, and because no wiring is required, a typical site installation can be completed by a single technician in just a few hours.

Traditional Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) programmes rely on periodic manual surveys that leave significant gaps between inspections, consume skilled technician time on routine site visits rather than active repair work, and provide no visibility into emissions events occurring between surveys. These gaps create product loss, regulatory risk, and rising programme costs with diminishing returns. MethaneTrack™ addresses this directly by replacing periodic surveys with continuous, close-proximity monitoring — capturing emissions at the source before wind dispersal dilutes and distorts the gas plume, and automatically alerting the right personnel the moment an event occurs.

Wireless sensors sample surrounding air and transmit encrypted data to the cloud, where proprietary Leak Source Isolation™ algorithms analyse gas concentration alongside wind data from the anemometer to quantify leak size and pinpoint the leak location. The dashboard analytics and reporting platform then visualises this data and supports compliance with OGMP 2.0, EPA regulations 0000b and 0000c, and Fit for 55 legislation. With a 5-year battery life, 15-year sensor life, no field calibration required, and intrinsic safety certification for Class I Division 1 and Zone 0 hazardous locations, MethaneTrack™ is designed as a true fix-and-forget solution.
