Active PoE Power and Data Over a Single Ethernet Cable

The Aranet IEEE 802.3af PoE Injector is an active Power over Ethernet injector that delivers a stable 56 V supply to the Aranet PRO Plus or PRO Plus LTE base station over a single Ethernet cable. It complies with the IEEE 802.3af standard and combines power and data in one connection, simplifying installation and eliminating the need for a separate power supply at the base station location.

Why It Matters

Running both an Ethernet cable and a power cable to a base station mounted in a ceiling, greenhouse, or remote location can be difficult, costly, and disruptive, particularly in retrofit installations where cable runs are already established. A PoE injector removes this requirement entirely, delivering everything the base station needs through a single network cable and freeing installers from the constraint of placing the unit near a power outlet. The result is faster installation, cleaner cable management, and greater flexibility in choosing the optimal mounting location.

The PoE injector is installed between the network switch or router and the Aranet PRO Plus base station, injecting 56 V DC power onto the Ethernet cable. The package includes a 2 m CAT6A patch cable and a 2 m power cord. Built-in LED indicators show load status for easy diagnostics. Note: this active PoE injector is not compatible with the Aranet PRO base station — only the PRO Plus and PRO Plus LTE models. For damp or outdoor deployments, the optional PoE Injector Waterproof Case is recommended.
