The Universal Link Between Apogee Sensors and Your Aranet Network

The Aranet Apogee Transmitter is a universal transmitter compatible with a range of Apogee Instruments sensors, connecting these precision instruments directly to the Aranet PRO ecosystem. It enables measurement of PAR, ePAR, solar radiation, temperature, and other parameters, with data wirelessly transmitted to a local Aranet base station via Sub-GHz ISM band radio.

Commercial growers and researchers often rely on highly specialised instruments to capture light, radiation, or temperature data with research-grade precision, but integrating these readings alongside existing climate and root-zone monitoring can be a challenge without compatible infrastructure. Without a reliable way to bring this data into a single platform, valuable insights risk being siloed in separate systems, making it harder to see the full picture of growing conditions in one place.

Each sensor assembly pairs the Apogee Transmitter with a corresponding Apogee sensor and mounting bracket, with options including PAR, ePAR, pyranometer, and infrared radiometer sensors. With an IP67-rated enclosure, an operating range of -20°C to 60°C, and a line-of-sight radio range of up to 3 km, the transmitter is built for reliable, long-term deployment, with battery life of up to ten years depending on measurement interval and battery type.
