Many materials in our surroundings are hygroscopic. This means that the material absorbs moisture from, or releases it to its surroundings.
The Schaller LF-TD provides a choice of moisture measurements that the operator can select from in order to monitor and control the manufacturing and treatment process ensuring quality product, energy savings and efficient production.
Optionally selectable moisture measuring units:
■ dew point -55 to +60°C
■ absolute air humidity 0 to 130 g/m³
■ material equilibrium moisture content
The relative equilibrium moisture content of a material indicates the relative moisture of ambient air equilibrating the material. At this moisture
level the material does not absorb or release any moisture.
The absolute material moisture is the mass of water within a material divided by its total mass or dry mass.
