Applications
The PMSA Paper Moisture Sheet Analyser is designed for use at-line on samples acquired directly from the paper machine and in the laboratory for quality control and quality assurance purposes. The paper moisture analyser is supplied with PC based software.
The PMSA is a rugged compact paper moisture tester which measures the absolute water content of single paper sheets between 30 and 800 gsm basis weight. Contrary to the traditional kiln-drying method, the PMSA paper moisture analyser determines the water content within a few seconds.
To enable measurement, the PMSA needs to be connected to a PC using the supplied mini USB cable. The intuitive software leads the user through calibration selection based upon paper type and grammage. The user-friendly interface displays measurement values and enables calibration of further paper types and analysis of collected data. Additional data, e.g. batch number can be added and the measurement values can be saved to a database, exported (csv, html, xls) or printed out.
The long-term stability of the sensor technology guarantees accurate and precise measurements with high repeatability. Maximum accuracy is achieved through automatic self-calibration of the sensor prior to each measurement.
