Volumetric flow probe for determining the flow velocity or the volumetric flow in air ducts.
The halstrup-walcher volume flow probes are differential pressure transmitters for determining the flow velocity or the volume flow in air ducts. The volume flow probe consists of two tubes on a plate that are mounted in a duct cross-section. Drillings on a tube point directly against the flow and determine the dynamic pressure, on the shorter, curved tube the static pressure is recorded. By distributing the holes, the pressures are averaged. The ends of the pipes are led outside. The difference between these two pressures represents the pressure differential signal, which is related to the existing flow rate or volumetric flow.
