Precise Spectral Data for Smarter Lighting Decisions

The Aranet Light Spectrum Sensor is an 11-channel wireless device that measures light spectral distribution in real time, providing data across five key colour channels: blue, green, red, far-red, and near-infrared. It also delivers PAR, extended PAR (including far-red), and daily light integral (DLI) calculations, giving growers a detailed picture of the light environment their crops are receiving.

Why It Matters

Light quality and intensity directly influence plant growth, morphology, and yield, but supplemental lighting that isn’t properly tuned to plant needs can waste energy or fail to deliver the intended growth response. Without visibility into the actual spectral composition of light reaching the canopy, growers are left adjusting lighting systems based on assumption rather than evidence, risking both wasted energy and suboptimal plant performance.

Designed for seamless integration with Aranet Cloud and platforms such as MyLedgnd, the sensor closes the loop on artificial lighting control: measuring natural and artificial light, analysing the data, and enabling climate computers to adjust lighting output based on plant-specific requirements. Stacked and normalised graph views in Aranet Cloud make it easy to identify trends and fine-tune light recipes over time.

The Aranet Light Spectrum Sensor delivers the spectral insight needed to optimise artificial lighting, reduce energy consumption, and support healthy, data-driven plant development.
